School Shopping Resistance

Why am I resisting?

Because I have enjoyed summer break. My son is in high school, so he sleeps in, doesn't need constant entertaining and can feed himself breakfast.

Which all means that on my days off, I can sleep in, too. And stay up late and watch Jon Stewart, who I heart.

But school shopping means admitting that it's all coming to an end. Sad face.

I'll be getting up early and making lunch and making sure he gets out the door. Which he doesn't need, he's awesome in the mornings, but I think he secretly likes that I am there drinking my coffee, too.

Oh, and because he made some comment about wanting skinny jeans. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Tell me it isn't so. Ugh. But I will keep my mouth shut and let him go through his crazy clothing styles, just as I went through mine. Someday he can look back and cringe at what he wore, just like I did.

Better get shopping on the schedule. School starts next Wednesday.

I cringe every time I look at high school photos and see 'french rolled' jeans and 4 pairs of socks in different colors all layered up.

I hope he has those moments when he is 34 and looking back on the skinny jeans. HA!

Yep, it's that time of year again. If he doesn't mind, you could make the lunches the night before. Just a thought.

And a pat on the back to you for remembering what it was like, and staying out of his way when it comes to style.

Oh no, he's not caving to the skinny jeans trend! Yikers!

I'd go with the flow just like you are though.

oh my! skinny jeans? definitely makes me think back to the trends I wish I'd skipped out on---the high bangs, hair spray, high-waisted jeans, Wigwam socks, and high top Reeboks. LOL!

Skinny jeans just blow me away...and seeing boys in skinny jeans just plain knocks me over. It just does...and I see A LOT of it. Of course MOST of what I see is either one extreme or the other....skinny jeans that should NOT be on the frame they are or jeans that are about 10 sizes too big and a crack that is smilin' at me sideways *shudder*
