It's been raining. The wind is blowing. The leaves are at the tail end of their colorful show. This is when my mind starts craving a tropical vacation. So this week's topic for Monday Listicles couldn't be more timely - 10 Things That Make A Perfect Vacation
1. Hubs, The Boy and me. (Or all girls, but that's another vacation!)
Yes, on vacation you can go to breakfast unshowered, without makeup.
2. Knowing the dog is in good hands.
3. Sunshine. Lots of it. And the heat that comes with it.
4. A beach is good. Or maybe two.
5. An ocean view required.
6. Good local food.
Our favorite hole-in-the-wall.
Seriously - the fish was caught that morning. A few minutes on the grill... perfection!
7. A fruity drink. Or two.
8. Some good local entertainment.
9. Beautiful sunsets.
10. And no less than 10 days to soak it all in.
It's going to be a long winter... good thing the holidays are coming up to keep me distracted!

Other than the seafood, I was completely hooked on that dream vacation too. :)
You really know how to describe a dream vacation! I will now go through my day with visions of ocean views and fruity drinks in my head.
(Truth is, I kinda go through the day that way anyway, but still...)

OK love all the pics but not the seafood one.. I have this HUGE fear of it not being cooked enough and getting deathly ill. I love the local entertainment.. my speed of enjoyment right there.

It looks like an amazing vacation to me! The beaches and sunsets are gorgeous, the drinks look great, and I don't see how you could get better entertainment!
Glorious! I love that Happy Hour is from 2 to 6, as well all HHs should be. Enjoyed the photos as well. Btw, I want in on the next All Girls vacation!

I agree on the minimum 10 days requirement (I'm thinking more like 3 weeks)! Love the beach images!
Yes, the holidays are a good distraction - it is the time afterwards where I REALLY start to need a vacation :) (You know January > March? Snow, cold, dark - I'm in Northern Ohio... those days go by slowwwwww!)
10 days is a must! You need a full week in between travel to really let go of the world you left behind!
