Monday Listicles - I Would Never...!

Link up with Stasha at The good life for Monday Listicles. It's a different topic every week - follow along.

This week on Monday Listicles: "I'll Never...": The Top Ten Things You Said You Would NEVER Do And Have Caught Yourself Doing by Greta at Not Enough Patience, And Never Enough Jewelry . Here it goes:

1. Work in healthcare
2. Lick my finger to press down my son’s hair
3. Say “because I said so”
4. Become a runner
5. Get addicted to Facebook
6. Sign up for Twitter, start thinking in 140 characters or less, and use Twitter
7. Sign up for Pinterest
8. Watch a show about zombies (The Walking Dead), and like it
9. Cry at commercials
10. Singing along to songs playing in the grocery store (OMG, I died when I caught myself doing it! You KNOW it wasn't a hip song, people, it was the grocery store!)

And a little bonus, I get to pick next weeks topic! I really wanted to go with 10 things that give you anxiety, but I figured you all would say you didn't have any little ocd habits like me, and I'd be left all by myself with a list of 20. Sooooo, let's go with 10 things you'd like to see happen before you die - they can be anything from seeing the Cubs win the World Series (this is Hubs' #1) to meeting your great grandchildren. They can be things you participate in or things you just witness.

Happy Monday!

FB, Twitter & Pinterest - me too!

Love the topic for next week. I might just stick to the prompt next Monday! :)

Zombies and twitter made my list too!!! Great list and I can't wait for next week! I totally could have done the anxiety one with you though. (You're not alone)

Ooh, maybe I will have to join in next week. That is an awesome list idea, :) And I thought I would never do a bunch of those things, and yet - here I am, doing them!

I totally would have had a list of 20 things that make me anxious, though. You are not alone!

I absolutely hated when I said things my parents did. Why does that happen to us?

I'm not addicted to FB, Twitter, or Pinterest, but I like them. I usually go on them in bursts!

Great topic for next week! I could also have done the anxiety one, but I like the one you've chosen as well!

#3 YES YES YES. I KNEW there was something that I always say that I said I never would, and that's IT.

And #2, 6, 7...on and on... :)

OMG, #2,3 and 9. Me too! LOL I hated it when my Mom used to say "Because I said so." and then I found myself saying the very same thing a few years later. She also said, "Don't do as I do. Do as I say." Thank goodness, I haven't repeated that one, as far as I know.

#2 and #3 are so true and so disturbing. And I do them all the time! I had to laugh at #9 and #1 and admit doing them more then once.

Both topics are seriously awesome Ally. Thank you!!!!

What is it about those grocery store song? I find myself grooving in the aisle..okay maybe just a little swaying back and forth -- but really. Too funny.

Oooh, that's a great listicle for next week!!! I better not forget about that one!!!

And I gotta share this about the great grandkid one -- I wrote a story last week about a matriarch with SIX generations. She has a great-great-great-granddaughter. And she's only 97. Totally mind-boggling!!

LOL, #3 rules in the "kitchen" that's when they know they have completely worked my last nerve.
Great topic for next week, would have been right there with you on the anxiety though too.

I resisted Facebook for quite and while and then finally joined. It was addiction from the start. Now I have my FB page for my blog and it's even worse! And now I've joined Twitter and Pinterest will be next. 2 and a half years ago I would have laughed in your face if you had said I would be on all of these things.
I'm excited about the list topic for next week. And for what's it's worth....you would NOT be alone in making a list of what gives us anxiety! :)

Definitely Twitter.

I also said I would NEVER drink coffee. And now? I can't even imagine starting my morning without it.

And as for next week's list, I cannot wait to say this, so I'll just say it. I hope I don't leave this Earth without having a dance with Bono. Being a Chicago girl, the Cubbies winning a World Series, now that would be something, but I'd have to say dancing with Bono would be my number one.

Ally, you SO wouldn't be the only one with an anxiety list - I'd have a horrible time keeping it to 20! And the list for next week sounds like an interesting idea - an onlooker's Bucket List.

As for your list this week, I can state positively for the record I will NEVER become a runner, haven't signed up for Pinterest (yet!) or watch the zombie shows period. As for the rest of it, yeah, I've done them...

but I never said I wouldn't. It's easier to keep my standards low - helps keep my feelings of failure restricted to my housekeeping and childrearing skills.

Oh the OCD list would have been perfect for me ;)

Twitter. Me? Never!

I would have had a field day with the anxiety list.

Great topic for next week! And I never cry at commercials, especially those damn animal ones....

#8! Love the Walking Dead. I never thought I'd get into comic books but when my husband showed me the Walking Dead graphic novels, I was hooked. Even wrote a post about it. I don't have a TV, so I'm way behind on the TV show, but I did see the first season and loved it!

I love singing in the grocery store. heck, the shopping is so boring and my 2 youngest are usually with me. what's more amusing than embarrassing your offspring with a lively sing along to some golden oldies.
I just own it. LOL
