A List In An Hour! Monday Listicles

Link up with Stasha at The good life for Monday Listicles. It's a different topic every week - follow along and join in. And look at her beautiful pictures while you are checking out her site.

This week, we are also linking up with Stacey's Mothering Moments for An Hour In A Day - which, then is our list subject this week! 10 things you do in an hour of your day.

Join me on staceysmotheringmoments.com

Here are 10 things that happen between 6:15 and 7:15 in the morning, most days Monday through Friday:

1) I hear The Boy's shower turn on and know I have a few more minutes.
2) Alarm goes off and I groan and hit Snooze. I'm hoping for just five more minutes, but I usually get up anyway.
3) I brush my teeth and put on a sweatshirt.
4) Downstairs, I let out the dog and pull The Boy's lunch bag out of his back pack (where it is still hiding from the day before - ahem)
5) Vital step: I start the coffee maker.
6) I let the dog back in and feed her.
7) I make The Boy's lunch and set it where he won't forget to repack it in his backpack.
8) I pour coffee ohmygoshthebestmomentofthemorning.
9) I sit down at my laptop and check three email accounts. At the same time, one eye is watching The Boy finish getting ready for school. I say goodbye to him as he heads out the door to take himself to school - all by himself - driving in a car. Gotta stop talking about that before I give myself an anxiety attack at the idea of him being that independent!
10) Then I start reading blogs!

Okay, well, sometimes #10 has to wait because I have an early work start, but the rest is pretty much a daily routine. (I just realized summer is coming - no lunches to make!)

Sounds almost the same at my house, except the kiddos a little younger still. I get anxiety attacks just thinking about the fact that my boy will be able to drive in a few years. Where has the time gone?

Number 8 is how I feel about my morning coffee too!
I'm having a panic attack just THINKING about my kids taking themselves to school in cars that they drive ;)

Your coffee is my diet coke, and I know that ahhhhhh feeling. How come your son doesn't forget his lunch like mine did?

Wow! I can't imagine when my daughter starts driving. Shivers.

I love how your morning ends. Reading blogs.

How could they give your son driving license when you are only 29? I am confused... Great list my friend!

Ahhhh, we have the same love for Coffee, I see! What would we do without it? I don't ever want to find out. LOL
Have a great Monday Ally!

It's kinda nice that your boy can drive himself to school - I have a long way to go with that one!

Ohhh the coffee. The best part of every morning. As for having a teenaged son..OMG - you look SO YOUNG. Just thinking about my son's driving on their OWN is giving me wrinkles and (more) gray hairs.

Coffee may well be the best moment of the morning. But coffee AND blog reading is even better! Ellen

Ha! I'm laughing because we did the exact same hour, 6:15 to 7:15, and because I too ended with blog time and coffee! :) You've got me on the driving alone in the car thing though. I have a little over 3 years before that happens here. OMG,just three years?!

Can't imagine what life will be like when they can drive themselves to school.

Enjoyed your list!

I'm not ready for driving kids yet! I have a few more years though. I always hope to stay in bed a few more minutes when the alarm goes off, but it rarely works out.

Hurray! I love Monday Listicles!...and wow...you have a grown boy driving himself to school...I'll soon have one of those too, but I'm in denial. Now reading this scared the crap out of me.

You had me at "waking up when the Boy is in the shower!" I cannot even fathom the moment when it's not "MOMMY come get me!" in the morning.

I love that my coffee pot has a timer and starts while we are still sleeping so its all hot and ready when we come out! BEST invention ever!

Thinking about Lil Duck driving to school gives ME a panic attach and it will be at least 13 more years before that happens.

Coffee is so very vital...I haven't had it since October...EEEKS!!!
I also haven't had a "me" morning in forever...meaning no "Mama! It's 5 in the morning...time for cereal!!!"
But i think I'll keep it like that for a while :)

Haha, that first cup really is the best moment of the day or maybe the snooze button. It's a tie.
