I'm still trying to grow this book list. I wasn't going to post this week, and was going to start on an every other week basis, but Pamela has got a deal going right now. It only lasts a couple more days, so read on and find out how to get a free Kindle edition of her newly released book!
Sara's Sleep - a novella by Terri Sonoda
Saving Grace - a novel by Pamela Fagan Hutchins****
Also
by Pamela: Five other titles, shorter read that are honest and real and
full of Pamela's great sense of humor. Check them out on SkipJack Publishing or Amazon.com.
[[****Do you like to read for free?? Pamela's got some good news. You can get a free Kindle download of Saving Grace until 10/28. That's two more days. Go. Now. Click HERE and read her post for details. BTW, it's been #1 on the Best Free Kindle Books List!! You can heck the list out here.]]
Annie Freeman's Fabulous Traveling Funeral
by Kris Radish - because I just finished it and found it to be a great
read about women and friendship and the importance of living life NOW.
Michele from So Wonderful, So Marvelous has a whole Pinterest Board of recommendations! Books like Summer Sisters by Judy Blume, The Shack by Wm. Paul Young, Diary of a MAD fat Girl by Stephanie McAfee, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, The End of Everything by Megan Abbott and so many more. INCLUDING one I forgot to put on my own list, but that I had on a previous post - The Ruins of Us by Keija Parsinnen.
Written by another author/blogger, okay, well, she also has a cooking show, The Pioneer Woman - Black Heels to Tractor Wheels by Ree Drummond. Well, okay, she also has cookbooks, too.
WHAT ABOUT KIDS? Did you know Ree writes for children as well? Charlie and the Christmas Kitty and Charlie the Ranch Dog. If you read her blog, you've seen her dogs. Charlie is another of my favorite blog dogs (along with Pamela's Cowboy♥, Layla and Petey; Stasha's Big M♥; and Kimberly's big chocolate lab, Asshole. That's not really his name, but she calls him that a lot.)
The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin is on my 'to-read' list. As is the The Friday Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs.
Note: this post/list is not sponsored by Amazon, nor do I have any association with them. I simply find it to be the easiest place to link the books. I also am not promoting anyone to get anything in return. I am always a cheerleader for bloggers who get published and I love a good book by any author! Some of these are just that - published authors who are bloggers. Some I've exchanged comments or emails with over the last few years, some I've never exchanged a single word with. Some are not bloggers at all. I simply think it would be fun to compile a great list of books that would also make good gifts! So if you have recommendations, send them my way! I'll link back to you as well as to the book!
