Similarities?

Remember one of my mermaid favorite ornaments from Christmas?

Did you catch this on the Academy Awards? (Confession - I didn't watch, just scrolled through a fashion review online)

Tell me I'm not the only one who sees similarities here? I don't even know who she is, but I guarantee you I could have picked out 10 dresses that would have been five times more flattering for her. Really, click on the picture and look at it bigger. Not a good dress for someone who is apparently four feet tall. Though I'm sure she's a lovely person and I'm just being judgmental. But hey, what are the Academy Awards for if not picking apart the fashion of Hollywood?

I'm headed out of town again. My sweet little 'Nana' passed away at 91 years old and I'm heading out to attend the funeral. She might have been the most positive, nicest person I've ever met. I never heard her say a bad or negative thing about anyone or anything, and she accepted everyone in this crazy-extended-by-marriage-family of ours as if she had given birth to them herself. I'm blessed by all the people in my world I can call family.

So sorry to hear about your Nana!!!

As for the mermaid, it's funny that she's the one who wore that because as soon as I saw her photo I remember how she couldn't stop telling EVERYONE who interviewed her that she was wearing a million dollars worth of diamonds that night.

As for mermaid woman, you're on the money there!
